  1. To get familiar with the sound system, speakers and situation try to focus right from the start of the sound.
  2. Keep focused on the question paper while listening to the recording, pick your answers in the mind for maximum questions.
  3. If there is a pause between the recordings, utilize this to refresh your mind and focus on the coming one.
  4. Write the answer in the question paper in the same order as they appear in the question paper, normally they are in the same order as the recording is.
  5. After the recording is over, you are given some time to writing the answers, take this time and your grammar and spelling mistakes.
  6. In the reading section, be quick to grab the content of each passage, its purpose, style, sources and intent of the writer.
  7. As you start reading don’t try to understand the meaning of every word, because you don’t have time. Try to grab the meaning of the sentence and answer the questions.
  8. The objective study is necessary in order to write the shortest possible answers. Don’t take much time in reading be quick and decisive.
  9. Read in instructions carefully for solving the questions, sometimes you have to use the word from the question to answer and sometimes they demand your own word to answer a question.
  10. There can be a situation where they can impose a word limit, so be precise in using this option and be within the given limit.
  11. Keep focused topics for you academic writing test. Never try a loose topic.
  12. Be careful of the timing, be active and responsive.
  13. Be elaborated and up to the mark in expressing your ideas, show your talent in task 2 part of the test.
  14. There is a restriction imposed of words in Task 1 & Task 2 of words, if you write less than the limit you will lose score, but there is no limit in increasing the words, so use your time and write.
  15. As you write an essay, keep some time for review at the end.
  16. In the speaking test, don’t give an orthodox speech and never try to deviate from the topic.
  17. Try to speak to the examiner in dialogue, be confident and calm.
  18. Never reply in “Yes” or “No” to the asked question, add some detail in your answer. Try to be expressive.
  19. It is important to remember that your knowledge is not being tested only your communication skills are tested. So don’t worry about the lack of knowledge if you encounter some.
  20. Be organized and to the point, keep your speed at normal while speaking or reading. Use your vocabulary to best of your abilities in a structured manner.
