Canada allows the nationals and permanent residents of this country to fulfill the requirement of family sponsorship immigration and sponsor their dependent kids to become permanent residents of Canada.

Who Is Authorized To Sponsor Their Dependent Children?

Sponsors must:

  • Be minimum 18 years old at the time of case submission.
  • Be a Canadian inhabitant, permanent neighborhood, or a person recorded in Canada as an Indian under the Canadian Indian Act.
    • Canadian national residing outside Canada must intend they plan to reside in Canada when the sponsored person(s) become permanent residents.
    • Permanent inhabitants residing outside Canada cannot be sponsors.
  • Be able to evidence they are not getting social help for reasons other than a disability or ill health.
  • Be able to provide for the elementaryrequirements of those being supported.

To sponsor a dependent kid, the sponsor must be economicallyaccountable for the supported or sponsored person(s).

This comprisesgiven thatmonetaryfunding and reimbursing any social help receive by the sponsored person(s) in that time.

The sponsor and the sponsored person(s) must also commence a sponsorship contract meaning:

  • The sponsor will offer for the elementaryrequirement of the sponsored person(s).
  • The sponsored person(s) will try to assist themselves and any family members.

Income Requirement

In majority of cases, there is no revenueprerequisite to sponsor a dependent kid.

Sponsors only require to make sure they fulfillrevenue requirements if sponsoring a dependent kid that has one or more dependent kids of their own.

Who Can Be Sponsored?

To succeed as dependents, children must:

  • Be under 22 years old at time of documents submission.
  • Not have a spouse or husband/wife or common-law partner.

To succeed as dependents, kids 22 years old or more than this must:

  • Be incapable to monetarily assist themselves due to a mental or physical ailment.
  • Have depended on their parents for monetary assistance since earlier the age of 22.

If they succeed as a dependent, applicants can sponsor their:

  • Own kid.
  • Spouse or partner and their kids.

To sponsor a dependent kid, applicants must submit an application under the Family Class. These applications are managed outside Canada.
